Q052 released his single ‘Loud Sunday’ on September 25, 2025, through the Musique Nomade label, marking the third preview from his upcoming album Thunder Child, set to drop October 10, 2025. This follows ‘Space Invaders’, which picked up coverage from CLASH Magazine. As Quentin Condo, the Mi’gmaq rapper and activist, uses Q052—with ‘Q’ for his first name and 052 for his First Nations community’s designation—to channel a strong social edge in his work. From Gesgapegiag in Gaspésie and now in Sherbrooke, he advocates fiercely for Indigenous communities, focusing on youth challenges and defending women.

His wins include Best Male Hip-Hop Artist at the 2023 International Indigenous Hip-Hop Awards, with nominations such as Indigenous Artist of the Year at the 2021 ADISQ Gala, Expressive Music Artist/Group, and Blues/Rock Artist/Group at the 2022 Teweikan Gala, and a GAMIQ award for Hip-Hop Album in 2022. He’s performed with Cypress Hill, hit stages at FEQ, La Noce, OFF Québec, Innu Nikamu, Festival Kwe!, FME, Festival Bleu Bleu, and Festival en chanson de Petite-Vallée, and appears often on TVA‘s La Tour with his direct style.

This release stands alongside boom bap classics that shaped the genre’s core of protesting, much like Public Enemy‘s urgency in ‘Fight the Power‘ or Run DMC‘s street-level punch in ‘It’s Like That,’ where beats back the not-so-subtle calls against systemic injustice. KRS-One‘s ‘Sound of da Police‘ set a bar for blending rhythm with critique, and Loud Sunday picks up that thread, using sub-bass and horns to mirror the era’s demand for accountability in a fresh Indigenous lens.

Q052 shared: “This song is about the senseless wars that are going on in the world and how society has become so tolerant of the tyrants destroying humanity.”
