Producer extraordinaire Tobias Bergson unveiled his latest single ‘One Day’ on October 25th via PLAYY. Records. His previously released melodic house single ‘Clear Your Mind’ premiered on prominent tastemaker When We Dip, while ‘One Day’ premiered on House Music With Love’s SoundCloud page. Based in Austria, Tobias is a prolific electronic music producer with a tapestry that spans from melodic and progressive house, to techno, lounge and UK Garage. To date, Tobias has garnered over 180 million streams across platforms, with releases on Armada and Universal Austria. He has also received support from the likes of Lost Frequencies and Steve Aoki. 

‘One Day’ is a strikingly alluring offering from Tobias, and further illustrates his vision and versatility. The single sees Tobias switch lanes from his usual sonic direction to a track that’s heavily influenced by the magentising Afro house soundscape. It features the warmth of African-inspired vocals, sumptuous percussion, a gripping beat topped off with a dazzling earworm melody. There’s something so profoundly comforting about ‘One Day’, it feels like an embrace from a cherished loved one or a long lost friend. The passion and love Tobias has poured into every aspect of the track is palpable from beginning to end. 

Tobias Bergson shared with us: “I think ‘One Day’ is a healthy mix of Afro House and a UK Garage beat. I’ve been producing Afro House on and off for over 2 years now, but so far it hasn’t been of interest to the labels… I know ‘One Day’ isn’t really an Afro House track as one would typically know it, but that was exactly what made it interesting—to produce a song with Afro House vocals but without the usual Afro House beat.”
