EarthGang Unveils Climate Crisis Anthem ‘Cool Me Down’

Atlanta duo EarthGang released ‘Cool Me Down’ in tandem with the opening of New York Climate Week. Composed of Olu and WowGr8, the group is known for their work with Spillage Village and their longstanding association with Dreamville. Their catalogue includes acclaimed albums Mirrorland and Ghetto Gods, as well as a feature on the Grammy-nominated single ‘Down Bad’. The track’s next milestone is a speaking and playback session at United Nations Headquarters, scheduled to coincide with the UN General Assembly.

‘Cool Me Down’ operates as both an anthem and a call to action, confronting the climate crisis and its impact on everyday life. Notably, Nature is credited as a co-writer, marking a first for hip-hop. Proceeds from the release are committed to ongoing environmental initiatives. EarthGang approach the composition as an extension of nature’s own rhythm, integrating their message within the music rather than observing from a distance.
