AFROTRAX Release Radar: Nasty C

Want to get familiar with the artists performing at AFROTRAX? We’ve curated a Spotify playlist featuring music from across the lineup, giving you the perfect opportunity to discover new tracks, revisit your favourites and get ready for the December festivities.

With AFROTRAX approaching on 4 December, we’re turning our attention to the music of Nasty C. The Durban-raised rapper continues to shape South African hip-hop through his distinctive lyricism, melodic flows and versatile approach to production. His recent releases, including his 2025 album Free and the 2026 collaborative project T’s & C’s Apply with Tellaman, showcase the evolution of his sound, moving between hard-hitting rap, R&B influences and melodic storytelling.

For this edition of AFROTRAX RELEASE RADAR, we’re highlighting three tracks from Nasty C’s recent catalogue: ‘Come Over 2.0’ featuring Oxlade, ‘LFTOS’ featuring Lusanda, and ‘Mode’ featuring Blxckie, all from his collaborative album T’s & C’s Apply with Tellaman.

Released on 1 September 2026, ‘Come Over 2.0’ brings Nasty C’s distinctive rap delivery together with Tellaman’s melodic vocals and Nigerian singer Oxlade’s Afrobeats influences. The track features on T’s & C’s Apply, a 17-track collaborative album blending hip-hop, R&B and African rhythms. Meanwhile, ‘LFTOS’, featuring Lusanda, explores a more reflective sound through atmospheric production and emotive vocals. On ‘Mode’, Nasty C and Tellaman team up with fellow South African rapper Blxckie, introducing an Afro-house-inspired rhythm that highlights the project’s diverse musical influences.

Together, these tracks offer a starting point for listeners looking to explore Nasty C’s evolving sound ahead of his AFROTRAX performance.

Listen to Nasty C’s latest music, explore the sound of other artists on the bill, and start building your AFROTRAX soundtrack.
