Daada unapologetically celebrates her diverse heritage with her latest body of work Home. Released on June 21st via Daada Music, the first two singles received editorial support from Spotify and Boomplay, as well as acclaim from the revered CLASH Magazine, and radio play on Amazing Radio’s Charlie Ashcroft and Reprezent 107.3FM. Daada has been quite busy over the last couple of months, with performances at Sofar Sounds (Germany and Netherlands) and the Reeperbahn Festival, as well as Berlin’s Karneval der Kulturen main stage. Recently, Daada went viral on TikTok and Instagram in Kenya, garnering over 500K views on two videos of her singing. 

Home is a mesmerising EP that takes the listener on a journey into Daada’s multicultural musical universe. The single ‘Raise The Roof’ is Daada’s ode to the way opposites attract. ‘Raise the Roof’ outlines a story of a fiery connection between two people from completely different worlds. Daada cleverly uses English and Spanish to bring ‘Raise the Roof’ to life. Home is a stunning dance between sounds from Africa and Latin America. It’s rich, and filled with music you can dance to, while Daada’s warm, silk-like vocals celebrates loved ones, identity, transnationalism, multiculturalism and more. 

Daada divulged: “‘Home’ is my first truly cohesive body of work. It’s about finding a sense of belonging in diversity and in blurring the lines between categories and labels. It fuses four languages and sounds from Africa and Latin America. I drew a lot of inspiration from growing up multilingual with three “nationalities”, not quite feeling adequately whole anywhere. This EP stands for home being something fluid and it’s a big fat celebration of being colorful and true to who you are.”
