David Ramano Drops Afro House Single ‘Un Día’ Via Omkara Label

Today sees the launch of David Ramano‘s new single ‘Un Día’, through his innovative Omkara record label. This London-raised, Dubai-settled DJ and producer has built a strong footprint in electronic music, pulling from his early days in the 1990s pirate radio world and live spots in the UK, Spain, Sweden, and Canada. With drops on outlets like When Stars Align, Electric Eden Records, and EarthVox, Ramano fuses Afro House, melodic techno, and spiritual rhythms into tracks that emphasize real energy and connection.

Coming after Omkara‘s initial release ‘The Light I Hold’, ‘Un Día’ explores Afro House with Melodic House nuances, incorporating Balearic influences via bright, groove-heavy beats, light vocal touches, and a relaxed, lasting vibe. It’s been put through its paces on Ibiza floors, from the famed Café del Mar to a joint appearance with house icon Todd Terry, earning keen interest from crowds around the world. The production draws on percussive elements from African, Latin, and Eastern traditions, linking them to house and techno cores for an updated spin on beat-oriented electronic sounds.

David Ramano shared: “Un Día’ is a unique track crafted with summer dancefloors in mind. It’s exciting to see it gaining momentum and landing in the sets of some of the world’s biggest DJs. As the second release on my label, it’s rewarding to see Omkara building a growing fanbase with each new track. With Omkara, our goal is to be a catalyst for immersive musical experiences, from curated events to cross-genre collaborations that transcend borders. The label is rooted in originality and authenticity, and we’re committed to elevating Afro House and related styles to new artistic and cultural heights.”
