Nitefreak Brings Afroholic Records to Soulkitchen for Amajoyo’s ADE Showcase

Nitefreak’s ‘Negra Soy’, released on Afroholic Records with Zapapaya and La Negra Hawkins, arrives as the Zimbabwean producer prepares for his headline slot at Amajoyo presents Afroholic ADE. The event, set for Friday, 23 October at Soulkitchen Amsterdam, forms part of Amsterdam Dance Event’s 30th anniversary. Since launching his career in 2009, Nitefreak has established himself as a distinct force in Afro House and Afro-Progressive House. His Gold-certified remix of Magic System’s ‘Premier Gaou’ with Francis Mercier marked a breakthrough, followed by collaborations with Francis Mercier, Black Coffee, RÜFÜS DU SOL, BLOND:ISH and Amadou & Mariam, and releases on Spinnin’ Deep, Higher Ground and Deep Root Records. His productions have earned support from leading names including Black Coffee, Diplo, Keinemusik, Bedouin, Solomun, Vintage Culture, Pete Tong, Gorgon City and Nora En Pure, as well as BBC Radio 1 airplay, millions of streams, Top 5 Beatport placements and editorial features on Spotify and Apple Music. As founder of Afroholic Records, Nitefreak champions authentic African electronic music and the artists shaping its future.

‘Negra Soy’ centers Afro House production with a clear sense of cultural identity. The collaboration with Zapapaya and La Negra Hawkins fits seamlessly into Nitefreak’s catalogue, driven by club-focused rhythms rooted in African electronic tradition. Built for dancefloors that recognize the difference between imitation and authenticity, the track stands as a direct statement of Afroholic Records’ vision.

Amajoyo, the Afro House, Afro Tech and Melodic House brand and label founded by Dutch DJ and producer De La Noise, joins the lineup. Nitefreak appears alongside De La Noise, Wilson Kentura, Thami The Unknown, Elson Soares, Randoree and Marinus. The showcase explores the connection between African and European electronic music, with Afroholic Records’ latest releases, including ‘Negra Soy’, providing the sonic foundation for the night.
