David Ramano Drops ‘Imagination’ on Omkara, Sharpening His Afro-Melodic Edge

Today sees the release of David Ramano‘s latest single, ‘‘Imagination’‘, out now on his own Omkara label. The London-born, Dubai-based DJ and producer has built a career on sounds that draw on deep emotional wells, starting with the raw energy of 1990s UK pirate radio and expanding to club stages in Spain, Sweden, and Canada. As one half of the Deepologists, he developed a style that keeps the audience engaged throughout his set lists. Backed by heavyweights like CamelPhat, Shimza, Cosmic Gate, and Atalaia, Ramano‘s catalog stacks up strong. Earlier work includes the ‘The Journey of Love’ EP, which hit number two on Switzerland’s iTunes Dance Albums chart, plus drops on labels such as When Stars Align, Electric Eden Records, and EarthVox. Recent singles ‘We Who Know’, ‘Un Día‘, and ‘The Light I Hold’, along with the ‘Alaya EP’ via OVAVA Music, showcase his steady push into Afro House and melodic techno territory.

At its core, ‘Imagination’ runs on a tight, propulsive beat, layered with a melodic build that flows effortlessly. Those rolling basslines keep things grounded, while synth chords deliver clean electronic leads. Ramano‘s signature touch is layered throughout the track, weaving in percussive snaps that echo African and Latin roots, giving the listener the urge to hit move; something that calls back to his African and Latin roots.

Omkara, launched this year, stands as Ramano‘s base for pushing boundaries in rhythm-heavy electronic music, hosting both up-and-comers and seasoned names. David Ramano had this to say: “Omkara serves as a platform for both established and emerging artists, while also acting as a conscious home for my own pivotal releases. The long-term projection for the label is committed to fostering innovation, curating groundbreaking music, and shaping the future of rhythm-driven soundscapes. Its signature style blends the rich heritage of house and techno with deep, percussive grooves influenced by African, Latin, and Eastern rhythms, a bold fusion where tradition meets modernity.”
