Rudimental Reignites Dance Music With ‘Send Shots’ Alongside Koffee and Winny

British dance music pioneers Rudimental return with their explosive new single ‘Send Shots’, featuring Grammy Award-winning Jamaican singer-songwriter Original Koffee and Nigerian rising star Winny.

Released on Monday evening (24th August) via Black Butter, the release marks a full-circle moment for the East London trio, who first launched their career with chart-topping success on the legendary Black Butter imprint over a decade ago. The release signals the beginning of an exciting new chapter for Rudimental, with more music set to arrive via Black Butter in the months ahead.

Premiering exclusively on Jack Saunders’ BBC Radio 1 show on Monday evening, the electrifying ‘Send Shots’ follows Rudimental’s emotionally charged summer single ‘Love You More’, swapping soaring euphoria for pure sound system intensity. It’s a bold return to the trio’s roots – pirate radio, Jamaican sound system culture and rave energy – while pushing their signature genre-blurring sound into fresh territory.

A pulsating fusion of drum & bass and dancehall, ‘Send Shots’ is built for peak-time festival moments. Original Koffee’s unmistakable flow meets Winny’s silky, soulful vocals over thunderous percussion, a heavyweight bassline and Rudimental’s unmistakable dancefloor production. Anchored by the infectious refrain – “Send shots to the head, it deliver / We drink plenty liquor, we don’t play wid it” – and the defiant chant of “It’s like a 21 gun salute, never have nothing fi prove, everybody see how I move”, the track is an unapologetic celebration of confidence, freedom and letting loose in the moment.

The accompanying official video captures that energy from sunrise to after dark. Directed by Jesse James and shot entirely in Kingston, Jamaica, the vibrant visual follows Original Koffee and Winny cruising through the city alongside a pack of dancers before cutting to striking nighttime scenes of pulsating choreography performed against a towering wall of speakers – a love letter to Jamaican street culture and sound system heritage that mirrors the record’s explosive spirit.

Rudimental continue to reconnect with the foundations that first shaped them, from pirate radio and warehouse raves to the multicultural sound system culture that defined East London. That spirit has always sat at the heart of the group, and ‘Send Shots’ is a fresh statement of intent as they step into this new era.
