Organisers apologise on 8 May as the fourth annual edition of Bonanza Campout set to take place in Heber, Utah is cancelled. The cancellation is claimed to be a result of officials refusing to grant the required liquor license.

Originally set to have taken place 21-23 June, the festival had already announced G-Eazy, DJ Snake and Australian duo, Empire of the Sun to headline… along with Chromeo, Whethan, Manila Killa, Big Wild and AlunaGeorge. As well as performances from Blackbear, Smokepurrp and Machine Gun Kelly (whose beef with Young Gerald ‘G-Eazy’ had been squashed last year after the intervention staged by the G.O.A.T. Eminem).

The official statement read as follows:
“Due to being denied the necessary licensing and permits from Wasatch County and the Utah DABC, Bonanza Campout has made the decision to cancel this year’s event.”
“Our team is committed to providing top-tier fan experiences and works year-round to curate and produce a world-class festival environment,” added the team behind Bonanza Campout. “After reviewing all alternative options, we have come to the conclusion that there is no possible way to relocate the festival and still provide both artists and attendees with the same level of production and fan experience that Bonanza Campout has become known for.”
