Blxckie joins the AFROTRAX lineup at The Ostrich Farm in Cape Town on 4 December 2026, bringing his signature blend of rap and melodic soundscapes to the stage. Durban-born Sihle Sithole, known as Blxckie, rose from the underground scene to become a leading voice in South African rap. He fuses sharp rap verses with smooth melodies, bridging hip-hop and R&B while pushing the genre forward.

Blxckie began making music while studying psychology at university. Early releases like his 2019 Eqnx II EP laid the groundwork, but his 2020 single ‘Big Time Sh’lappa’ brought widespread attention. During the COVID-19 lockdown, he gained momentum with the Clout Internet Boyz collective. His 2021 debut album, B4Now, achieved gold certification in South Africa for its mix of trap production and melodic hooks. It also earned him Freshman of the Year in 2021 and Best Hip Hop Album in 2022 at the South African Hip Hop Awards.

Following B4Now, Blxckie explored his melodic side with 4LUV (2022), focusing on R&B and vocals, and expanded his range with THE4MULA that same year. His profile rose further with high-profile features, including ‘SETE’ with Young Stunna and DJ Maphorisa. Subsequent releases like see u soon (2024) and 4LUV2 (2026) highlight his ongoing versatility.

Blxckie’s evolution mirrors a generation of South African artists navigating rap, R&B, and contemporary music. Spanning underground features, solo projects, and hit singles, his catalogue extends far beyond traditional hip-hop audiences. His impact lies in combining sharp delivery and songwriting with a seamless fusion of local musical identity and global production.

AFROTRAX brings Blxckie to The Ostrich Farm in Cape Town on 4 December, where he joins French Montana, B.o.B, Cassper Nyovest, Nasty C, YoungstaCPT, 25K, Jairic, Rarri, Kane (DJ) and Bassik for a major summer celebration of local and international hip-hop. From breakout hits like Big Time Sh’lappa to fan favourites such as Ye x4 and Sika, his catalogue showcases the versatility and infectious energy that have defined his rise.
