Sam And The Womp share tantalising new single ‘Come We Play’ featuring MC Natty Campbell
Multi-platinum band Sam and The Womp are back with another heater featuring MC Natty Campbell. The single, titled ‘Come We Play’ was released on 6 September 2024, and is the band’s second collaboration with MC Natty Campbell who has worked with the likes of Chase & Status.
‘Come We Play’ is an energetic, afro-dancehall exploration which illustrates Sam and the Womp’s trademark “Brass and Beats” sound. Award-winning trumpeter Sam Ritchie is the band’s frontman. Sam shares: “‘Come We Play’ is my favourite track to date and was such fun to make recording with my good friends. I woke up one morning, actually a few years back now, with the horn line in my head and sang it into my phone, so happy it sees the light of day with this amazing production!”
The band are renowned for their ability to shake up the norm and prioritise untethered expression and fun. They’re widely recognised for their Number 1 UK single ‘Bom Bom’, boasting 55 million streams on Spotify, as well as performances at Wembley Arena and Glastonbury Festival.
‘Come We Play’ is a classic summer anthem that opens with Sam’s iconic horns, followed by a powerful beat and Campbell’s legendary vocals. With its fresh and tantalising energy it’s immersive, and reminiscent of a carnival experience in the Caribbean.
