LËPTIC Unveils ‘Ngiyajola’ on eViVE MUSiC’s Textures of Sound VA
Vancouver producer and DJ LËPTIC is back with his new Afro House single ‘Ngiyajola‘, out today on the Textures of Sound VA from eViVE Recordings. The track highlights his skill in building dense, resonant layers into house tracks, drawing from a mix of global influences that keep his sound grounded yet expansive. Pulling cues from Afro House legends like South African DJ Shimza, Swiss selector Andrea Oliva, and Spanish producer Arodes, LËPTIC has put out cuts on labels including SOM and Harmor Records. He’s also held down sets at major events, like sharing the bill with MEDUZA at the 2024 UBC Blockparty Festival, where his mixes cut through the open-air energy without missing a beat.
LËPTIC‘s way with melody and house structure comes through clearly on ‘Ngiyajola‘, where his production skills and ear for detail take the lead. It’s built around a rich, driving beat that gets its energy from African percussion and rolling shakers, giving the track its identity. The vocals hit as the track’s core pulse, drawing listeners in with a direct line that builds genuine rapport over the runtime. They’re handled with a soft, almost whimsical ambiance, set to isiZulu lyrics. The layered vocal effect that has become the signature of Afro House doesn’t feel like a troupe here, though, as LËPTIC‘s hand on production brings forth a fresh take.
LËPTIC revealed: “Ngiyajola is a track that captures the energy of Afro House while keeping it deeply emotional and atmospheric. I wanted to create something that feels like a journey that’s chill enough for sunset listening, but powerful enough to move a club.”
