Released on August 14, 2026, the track sets the tone for his upcoming EP, A Necessary Breaking, due January 2027, with follow-up single ‘Elongated Time’ arriving September 25, 2026. ​The song’s earliest 2025 incarnation was a wild experiment in production and structure, set aside until its emotional center came into focus. Teaming up with producer MOTTRON, vincethealien found a mix that lifts the track physically while letting the lyrics keep their gravity. BLCKBUTTERFLY’s hip-hop-laced ad-libs spark the opening with kinetic energy and flair. Tatishi’s verse slices through with raw directness, especially in the line “Just show me an emotion.” The first lyric penned, “You became my angel, and also my hurt,” anchors the song, paired with the vivid image of balancing on sharp cinder blocks until surrendering to the full weight of feeling.
