Moon Rocket Puts Out ‘Be The One You Are’ on Moon Rocket Music
Italian producer, DJ and multi-instrumentalist Raffaele Scoccia, known as Moon Rocket, released ‘Be The One You Are‘ on 15 October 2026 via Moon Rocket Music. The single adds to a catalogue that includes releases on Defected, Nervous, Sony Italy, BBE, Hed Kandi and Soulfuric. Scoccia’s previous track ‘Reciprocity‘ surpassed 21 million streams and 250,000 Shazams, earning the title of Traxsource’s Best Afro House Track of 2020. His music has received repeated support from BBC Radio 1 and 1Xtra, with Pete Tong featuring his work on Essential Selection, alongside plays from Seth Troxler, Monki, Rickie, Melvin & Charlie and Craig Charles on BBC Radio 6 Music. Black Coffee and Seth Troxler have championed his records, while coverage has appeared in Billboard, Traxsource, CLASH Magazine and Cultr. The MadorasindaHouse channel has featured his productions, and live performances have included Output Brooklyn, Miami Music Week, ADE and Nikki Beach. Beginning at age 15 with a piano gifted by his parents, Scoccia studied classical music, harmony and composition. Now a classically trained pianist and Hammond organ player, he has developed an Afro Melodic-Tech sound that balances melodic and instrumental detail with club-driven rhythm.
‘Be The One You Are‘ is a focused Afro house cut built around a looping piano motif in the midrange, tightly interlocked with the kick and off-beat percussion. Shakers and a rounded, resonant bassline underpin the groove, while the piano remains the central melodic thread throughout. The vocal lines are foregrounded as melodic hooks, recalling the R&B-inflected approach of recent Adam Port and Stryv releases rather than the densely layered vocals typical of classic Afro house. Percussion layers build gradually, with no marked breakdown, and the track maintains a steady, club-ready momentum in line with the rhythmic drive of HUGEL’s productions.
Moon Rocket shared: “This track is about coming back to yourself. About letting go of the noise, the expectations, and the need to fit into someone else’s idea of who you should be. I wanted the music to carry that feeling of freedom — something melodic and uplifting, but with a deeper message underneath: when you stop pretending and start standing in your own name, you find your own rhythm.”
