The music video for ‘Naked,’ the latest single from R&B artist EZ Papi, was recently released. Drawing from his background producing for major industry names, EZ Papi utilizes a precise approach to songwriting that informs his intimate yet global sound. His musical style is characterized by a unique fusion of Latin influences, Afro-Caribbean rhythms, and early 2000s R&B nostalgia.

Born in 2019 as a nod to the moody R&B vibes of My Dear Melancholy, ‘Naked‘ was actually originally intended for The Weeknd during his After Hours era. While timing and industry hurdles meant it never made it to him, EZ Papi couldn’t let the track fade away and decided to make it his own.

Seven years later, after a nudge from an A&R, EZ Papi revisited the song, finally claiming ‘Naked’ as a part of his own sound. The track is built on a rich, atmospheric foundation with a deep emotional pulse that pulls the listener in. Its soft, conversational vocals invite you into a cozy, dimly lit world, creating a record that commands your attention simply by being itself.

EZ Papi shared, “To me, ‘Naked’ represents stepping into full honesty—emotionally and artistically. It’s where I stripped everything back and let the truth speak for itself.”
